James started to eat solids on June 24, 2012. it was VERY fun to watch and of course.. also very fun feeding him! can't believe my baby is growing up so fast.. i cry. :(

daddy decided to buy james a new car seat and a new stroller for the road trip! the one that we had before this was the portable one where you can take the car seat out and attach it to the stroller, but this one you can't. anyways, we went to babys r us to just look around, and there was the graco signature car seat on display, and we put james in it to test it out.. and he seemed to love it~ so... we got it for him. haha~ we liked it so much because he was growing out of that car seat so fast, and we needed to buy him another one ANYWAYS, so we splurged. not only that, this car seat transforms! it goes from rear facing to forward facing, then til when he's 100 pounds. very very nice~ we'll be using this for a very long time :)

we were debating on whether we should get this one or the maclaren quest, but we decided to get this one instead. the maclaren one was MUCH lighter and easier to fold, but we wanted something with storage and i REALLY wanted a CUP HOLDER! well.. this one has four ;) the seat for this one also comes out and he can be facing you, or facing the front, or laying down, but the cons - the seat doesn't fold! meh. the handling is smooth though... so yeah basically we just ended up getting matching graco signature products~ we're probably gonna end up getting the maclaren.. but maybe later~ anyways, thanks dad!
i know i'm one day late but i was working yesterday so i'm writing today.. ANYWAYS, omg.. my baby is already FIVE MONTHS OLD! he's getting so big! he's about 18 pounds and he's really really heavy. haha. we're so blessed though.. he's such a happy baby. =) we started putting him on a schedule and he's been good about it. he usually sleeps at around 10pm right after he eats 100 times, his bath and his bedtime song which is phil collins - you'll be in my heart. he's been turning around on his own, smacking his lips, laughing, squealing.. putting everything in his mouth. sigh... it's just amazing how fast a baby can grow.
this month, baby James went swimming for the first time, went on our first family trip, went to go visit great grandpa and great grandma, spent his first mother's day with me, started blowing raspberries, started sticking out his tongue, started to "talk" to us, looks at me when i say "james~", got a new jumper, witnessed johan santana become no-han, got an ear infection for the first time, and went to see his cousins again.
people have been asking me, "how does it feel to be a mom?" and honestly there are no words that can express how it feels. i'm just really REALLY glad that i got to experience this, and really blessed to have such a wonderful baby like him. i love my family so much.. :)
