MNF

when i first started dating my husband, it was clear to me that he was one of them "sports dude".. he was especially passionate about football. he brought me to his draft that year and i had no idea what was going on and thought to myself, "damn.. why are people so serious about this shit?" that was the year i was introduced to football and thought it was pretty entertaining.. the following year i joined the league and was runner up to my husband due to the ridiculous trades i made. but even though i had a team to manage i was still pretty clueless about the game.. i guess it was more of like a learning process.

this year, the second year in the league.. i've been watching more football and it's been growing on me. i've learned more about the players, and about the game and now i understand why people are so passionate about this sport. so today, my husband and i were watching the usual monday night football (i placed a bet on the packers winning) and while we were watching, we were arguing about something to a point where i didn't want to talk to him. but that silent treatment ended at the end of the 4th quarter.. right when it hit the 0:00 mark. why? because... the ball... was fucking..... intercepted.... (please excuse my french) but these substitute refs decided to call it a *drum roll* TOUCHDOWN. the funny thing here is: that they reviewed the play, and still decided that it was a TD. see.. millions of people all over the nation were watching this game, and we see what the refs are watching.. and everyone thought that it was a TD.. i mean. clearly, it was. soo........ does that mean all of america... are blind? i'm confused.

the referee on the right is gonna get shitted on for the rest of his life.. sorry to say...

i understand that some people might not come to an agreement. but this is different. you can't take this situation so lightly. these substitute "refs" have been making really bad calls lately but this is the final straw. it's affecting the die hard fans, the viewers, the spirit.. the WHOLE ENTIRE GAME, and EVERYTHING that has to do with it. how can the players have the patience for this? and don't they understand that this goes on the record?? ONE game can change EVERYTHING, and the sad part about it is that... it wasn't any of players fault. you NFL fuckers want to save that much money?? well guess what!! you're about to lose more because people are gonna stop watching football if it's a joke! seriously i don't think i've ever been this mad over a game!.. okay maybe besides the pacquiao fight (btw he def. got robbed too).

i was telling my husband that if i was the seahawks coach and i saw the replay, i would've fessed up and told them that we lost. why? because as a coach that's the right thing to do. i don't want no FAKE pity win. that win is a fake win. if you want to be a winner you should win with dignity and not feel guilty about winning.

on the OTHER note, i give all my respect to the packers coach because that man is the most classiest person on this planet right now. for him to hold his tongue, and tell the reporters that he doesn't want to talk about it and want to avoid drama, KUDOS for you mr. mccarthy. as for football, i'm done watching this pathetic game until the refs come back.

my first DIY post!

james has been eating baby cereal and gerber veggies / fruits but i wanted to put him on some REAL food~ so i purchased a baby bullet and decided to make him porridge~ so far he hasn't had any food allergies, so i made him a carrot / mushroom porridge.

REALLY easy. and being korean sure came in handy! we have TONS of multi-grain rice :)
the whole entire process overall took about 10-15 minutes~

first you have to wash the rice about 4-5 times and leave it in the water for about an hour.. this is about 3/4 cup of rice

cut up whatever vegetables you want to put in it

boil til cooked

leave the water as it is.. don't throw it out!

take out the veggies and blend it~ make sure you don't use the cross blade because then it will become TOO mushy
add the rice into the water that you cooked your veggies in.. stir for about 5-8 minutes in medium to high temp.

add your veggies~

and voila~ made 4 servings!

i had some carrots and mushrooms left over so i used the cross blade to blend it.. made two small servings for a snack? i'm not sure how it'll taste though.. carrots and mushrooms? =x

after we get the OK sign, i want to add beef or chicken.. it'll taste so yummy! oh and i added a tad bit of salt in it~ we'll see how james likes it tomorrow~ good night!

stress reliever

sooooooo i went to the mall today with my cousin and james.. and did some damage to my bloomingdales card and my credit card :) but it was much needed~ dennis gave me the OK sign to go and it was nice to get away from home~~ james behaved well.. except for the part where he took a monster poop and wanted his diaper to be changed and on the way back home. i don't know what it is but he hates being in the car seat when the sun goes down. bleh.

anyways~ i got myself a nice purple michael kors tote that i've been eyeing since last week. we were in AC and i was just looking around and came across the MK store and saw these cute little totes with lovely fall colors and i hadddddddd to get one. and it's roomy so i can put lots of things (james' things) in there! i usually carry an ipad, diapers, a bottle, pacifier, wipes and a bottle of water.. JUST for james and then comes my stuff.. so yea.. i needed a bigger bag! also went fall shopping for james~ got him nice jackets and sweaters from bloomingdales~ oh btw- bloomingdales is having this super sale where you get $ off depending on how much you spent. and you earn TRIPLE the points! sweet.. so after making all those purchases today, i got a $25 gift card plus $75 in savings~ yay~

8 months!

holy moly.. 8 months already! :) so in my previous post i wrote that i've been planning for our "future events".. future events meaning james' dol (first birthday.. it's a big deal for us koreans ^^) and our wedding. since james' dol comes first, we decided to check out a venue and we ended up putting a deposit on it! everything is happening so fast, i don't know how it's already been 8 months :(... it's nice because they do everything for you- the cake, decor, the buffet, open bar.. all we gotta do is just show up! but of course.. i will not let that happen.. ;) i'm planning more stuff so that james' first birthday can be very very memorable. i feel like.. this is going to be our mini wedding haha~~ well~ i have four months to make it happen~

FOUR MONTHS! :O ok.. another reality check haha

so james learned how to stand and has been standing ever since then! even when i'm feeding him (yes, i'm still breastfeeding!) he just stands up -_________- very inconvenient. i'm still so proud of him. he's also been to the beach for the second time, and to the pool again. he also watched his first NFL game and the olympics, started finger foods (cheerios), started eating food other than rice cereal, went to his first football draft, started to sit in a high chair, got another haircut, and went to go visit his cousins again. i wonder what's in store for us next month.. will he finally say MAMA?? hehehehee

oh and btw.. he did say "ummmmmmmm............ MA!.. faaaaaaa" but i think he was just talking gibberish while he was sleeping.. so.. will not count that in. boohoo :(
