updates updates!

so sorry i haven't been blogging lately.. i barely have any time to go on my computer! and even if i do i just play games to keep my mind sane haha~

these days james has been teething.. finally! his two bottom teeth is on its way of popping out and it's so cute! he hasn't been really fussy but he's been waking up a lot more during his sleep and he's been keeping us up. it also REALLY hurts when i'm feeding him but oh wells.. i don't want to stop yet.

we renovated james' and our room and it looks so comfy that we still co-sleep with him.. but now in his room. LOL! will post up pictures of that too later on~

i'm still looking for photographers so james can take some pictures for his invitations. i was hoping to get that done by the end of this week, but due to the hurricane i don't think it will happen til next week! speaking of hurricane, i hope everyone stays dry and safe..

james has also been standing on his own lately and it's such an amazing feeling to see him go through a milestone after another. can you believe he's already almost 10 months?!

9 months*

wow we're already 3/4 of the way through james' first year in this world! so many things happened this month and when i see james hitting a milestone it really amazes me.

so remember how on his 100th day he surprised us by laughing? well today at 9 months, he surprised us by saying "ba-ba-ba... ba-ba-ba-ba!" lol :) i've been waiting for so long for him to start talking to us! and it's so funny because it really seems like he's trying to say something. i think this month was the month where he started doing lots of things.. he also started to crawl, stand on his own, started to "cruise", started eating REAL food (pasta, rice, and whatever that's on our plate), and started to sleep throughout the night. he also went to another wedding and got another haircut! :) he met some new friends and had lots of fun playing with them~

oh! we're renovating his room! will post up before and after pics. so excited~

october!!

omygoodness.. it's already october! it's getting kinda chilly now.. but i still have mosquitoes flying around my house! it's really annoying! :(

we are still co-sleeping with james, and he is sleeping throughout the night! (no feedings, yay!) and guess what!! we didn't have to use the CIO method. the "CIO" method is a method where you let the baby "cry it out" for a certain amount of time and the baby eventually falls asleep on his own. we gave it a couple of tries but i couldn't stand it.. BUT! we realized that the nights when we did cry him out, he would sleep throughout the night~ so one day i put him in the crib thinking, "okay.. just gonna let him cry for a little bit and gonna bring him back to our bed" until.. he actually fell asleep. =x i wasn't emotionally ready for it.. so i woke him up LOL and brought him back to our bed. i don't know.. i just like sleeping with my baby~

the trick: we have a baby monitor and every time the baby cried we'd run in to calm him down.. but one day i waited it out and he cried and cried for about a good 3 minutes.. and put himself back to sleep~ ever since then he's been sleeping fairly well. he does get up from time to time and cry as well but he usually puts himself back to sleep. yayyyyyyy! i'm very happy.

also the reason why i didn't like the CIO method is because they said that the baby eventually stops crying because he knows that he can't depend on his parents no more. WTF kinda shit is that? i wouldn't want my baby thinking he's alone in this world. am i being too over protective? NO. why? because he is only nine months old. the little dude can't even talk!

anyways- for all you mothers to be, make sure the baby monitor is on your registry, because that thing does come in handy!
