my first experience at a crab house!

james wanted to go to a crab shack real bad while he was in maryland, so we decided to go to Mike's Crab House, a place in Riva.

the entrance

the view~

the outside dining area

we had to wait about 2 hours :( all thanks to the rain.. they sat everyone outside inside, and all the people that were waiting for the outside area were now waiting for the inside area so it just doubled our waiting time. boohoo..

it was very scary!

oysters! they looked so good but i couldn't touch a single one due to my pregnancy.. i envied my friends who were slurping them oysters away.. meh. it was KILLING me T_T

the new england clam chowder soup
it was alright. it was a little sweet.

hush puppies
this is my first time trying this, and i don't know how it's supposed to taste like.. but it wasn't the best thing i had on the menu.

fish & chips-
they were so fresh!!! loved it. and the portion was HUGE.

crabs!
they were sooooooo fatty. i loved it... it was my first time trying it, and it was so tasty!
i usually like snow crab legs but i guess this was new. btw, i liked dipping it in melted butter instead of the powder thingy that they gave us.

the mess we left..

overall, the experience was really cool and fun, but the waiting killed us. we were so hungry, and the crabs took a bit too long.. but besides that everything else came out super fast, and the service was ok~ the crabs were like $45 / dozen, so i think the prices were decent too. but still.. i prefer snow crab legs over crabs :P
